Board of lealth Minutes <br />February 18, 2021 <br />2 of 2 <br />Legislative Update <br />Tristen Lamb gave a brief update regarding House Bill 1152, which has been removed from <br />consideration at this time in its current form, but a substitute bill has been submitted, and House Bill <br />1110. <br />Department updates <br />Health Officer Update <br />Dr. Mark Larson updated the board on the following topics: <br />• New masking guidance from the CDC <br />• New quarantine guidance for those immunized against COVID-19 <br />• COVID-19 strain variants <br />• Testing numbers in Kittitas County <br />• Local schools (K-12 and university) <br />• Washington State re -opening metrics <br />There were questions from the board regarding the timelines of COVID-19 reinfection and vaccine <br />efficacy and testing recommendations for vaccinated vs. non -vaccinated. Dr. Larson also informed the <br />board of the discussion at the state level about school re -opening with social distancing guidelines, and <br />partnerships to use federal vaccine doses for agricultural workers. <br />BOCC Action Items <br />Approval of Emerge ncy H ire <br />Tristen Lamb explained the role and funding for the hire of a Vaccine Coordinator. The board gave <br />approval forgoing forward with this hire. <br />Request to approve contract between NACCHO and Kittitas County Public Health <br />Tristen Lamb and Kasey Knutson briefly reviewed and explained what the NACCHO contract would entail <br />and asked for approval. <br />Motion to approve the contract between NACCHO and Kittitas County Public Health <br />Motion 02-02: Motion to approve the contract between NACCHO and Kittitas County Public Health. <br />Laura Osiadacz moved to approve the contract between NACCHO and Kittitas County Public Health. <br />Brett Wachsmith second. All approved.
