KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />Webex <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM MARCH 22, 2021 <br />Board members present: Vice -Chairman Laura Osiadacz, and Commissioner <br />Cory Wright <br />Others: Mark Cook, Josh Fredrickson, Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; Dan <br />Carlson, Jessica Miller, Jeremy Johnston, Bridgett Pechtel, Community <br />Development Services; Jason Eklund, IT; Neil Caulkins, Prosecuting <br />Attorney's Office;(2) Members of the Public <br />At 1:56 pm Vice -Chairman Laura Osiadacz opened the Public Works Study <br />Session. <br />FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITEES BYLAWS REVISION <br />Mark Cook requested the Board of County Commissioners consider two <br />(2) revisions to the Flood Control Zone District Advisory Committee <br />Bylaws. The first update is something staff has recently encountered <br />while working during Covid outbreaks, and the revision is to allow <br />cancellation of a regular meeting with advanced notice. The second is <br />to begin the implementation of ranking criteria that Director Cook <br />and Arden Thomas have worked together to develop. Vice -Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz made a motion to approve the bylaws as presented with <br />Commissioner Cory Wright seconding said motion. <br />BENSON ROAD VACATION <br />Mark Cook gave background on the public right of way in the Plat of <br />"Timber Valley", stating that the Right of Way is obsolete in this <br />private subdivision, splitting the lot owner's parcels. Discussion <br />was held. Staff was directed to prepare enabling documents to <br />schedule a public hearing at the next agenda session. <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH STATE PARKS- GINKGO PARKING LOT <br />IMPROVEMENT, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION <br />Mark Cook requested the Board of County Commissioners to consider an <br />Interlocal Agreement with State Parks for the design and construction <br />of the parking at Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park along Vantage <br />Highway. Discussion was held. Staff was directed to prepare enabling <br />documents for consideration at the next agenda session. <br />2021-03-22 MINUTES <br />
