Final 4.15.11
21

2011 Agency Survey Results
2011 SURVEY – SUMMARY RESULTS AND OBSERVATIONS The survey was conducted in December 2010 in an effort to provide information to the Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee about the work of the Committee over the past two years. Respondents were asked for their input on current gaps in services, their perception of the importance of the current programs in place, whether or not they referred to all of the agencies in the report, and their perception of the funding priorities the Committee should have for 2011. All of this information was collected as part of an update to the 10-year Plan. The complete survey with responses is attached. This summary attempts to capture the most important information the Committee believes came out of the survey.
I. Ten (10) Agencies Responded to the Survey and are noted below:
a. FISH b. Housing Authority of Kittitas County c. ASPEN d. YVOIC e. DSHS f. EnTrust g. Kittitas County Headstart/ECEAP h. CWCMH i. ADDS j. HOPESOURCE
II. Demographic data (race, age, gender) reported was inconsistent; some
agencies did not report; each agency provided unduplicated numbers; but the
total across all agencies is not unduplicated. a. Agencies reported 337 homeless individuals served in one way or another in 2010. 1. Ages 0-17 – 108 persons 2. Ages 18-45 – 209 persons 3. Ages 46 - +65 – 20 b. Agencies reporting the heaviest caseloads (in excess of 50 clients): 1. ASPEN 2. DSHS 3. EnTrust 4. FISH c. Hopesource did not report any demographic data; these numbers would have added substantially to the total number of clients served.
