Once DOC has completed the verification process and is ready to process payment, the County will be <br />notified by email or fax of any denials or credits. <br />For billing questions or concerns, please email DOCHOMedicalRABCDOCI.WA.GOV. <br />HIPAA <br />The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA — CFR 45) of 1996 protects the privacy of <br />individually identifiable, protected health information or PHI. This law allows for the exchange of this <br />information between covered entities for the purpose of billing and payment which allows you to provide <br />the required back-up documentation regarding the offenders' health information and treatment activities <br />for support of payment purposes (§ 164.506 (c)(3)).
