BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />ORDINANCE No. 2021 - <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County manages speed limits on County Roads and Stop and Yield Roads in <br />Title 10 of County Code; and <br />WHEREAS: The City of Ellensburg annexed Urban Growth Management Lands managed by the <br />County in City Ordinance 4874; and <br />WHEREAS: Numerous County Roads are now part of the City of Ellensburg requiring amending <br />Title 10.08 "Speed Limits on County Roads" reflecting the annexed roadways by the <br />City; and <br />WHEREAS: Numerous County "Stop and Yield Streets" are now part of the City requiring <br />amending Title 10.12 reflecting the annexed roadways by the City; and <br />WHEREAS: The Prosecuting Attorney's Office has advised that the Board of County <br />Commissioners may amend Title 10 administratively without conducting a public <br />hearing owing to the City's annexation action; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED That the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners, after due deliberation and in the best interest of the public, does hereby amend <br />Kittitas County Code Title 10 (10.08 and 10.12) reflecting changes to the County road system <br />resulting from the City of Ellensburg annexation actions pursuant to City Ordinance 4847. <br />ADOPTED this 2"d day of March 2021. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
