KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: February 08, 2021 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Notice of Call for Sealed <br />Bids for the Supply of a 30' Steel Modular Bridge. <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works has been working on the completion <br />of a bid package for the procurement of a <br />permanent bridge to restore agricultural access to <br />property altered by our Fairview Road Widening <br />and Coleman Creek Structures Project in 2020. A <br />commitment was entered into May 27, 2020, as <br />part of the right of way negotiations with the <br />property owners to supply and install the structure. <br />INTERACTION: <br />The bid package will include bid requests for <br />design, fabrication, finishing and transporting a 30' <br />steel modular bridge structure. <br />Call for bids are advertised in the legal newspaper <br />and the Daily Journal of Commerce. <br />Bids are scheduled to be opened on February 25, <br />2021 at 2:00 PM in the Public Works Department. <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve Notice of Call for Sealed Bids for <br />the Supply of a 30' Steel Modular Bridge and direct <br />staff to advertise as requested. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) copy to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Call for Sealed Bids <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook <br />Director of Public Works <br />
