Future Plans*The Kittitas County Historical Museum has plans to make this program self-
sustaining.
Due to the success of the advertising, the Museum's Board of Directors has
become educated about the rate of return of the advertising investnrent and
maintains a budget line of $2,500 to match any advertisirrg or reach alternative
markets.
We have received atr increased rate of donalions to the museum as a result of
increased visitaiion to the museum, which rae aitribute lo the current advertising
campaign. We have also increased our membership program in which the fees go
tounrds funding events, activities, and programs.
It is anticipated that wrth the awareness of the museum, its exhibits and lecture
series, revenue from our gift shop, donations, and membership dues will eventually
itrcrease, allowing the advertising budget line to grow to a larger amount and
reduce future requests for support from the Kittitas County Consolidated Lodging
fax Grant.
Our lecture series, if allowed onsite, has a preferred hoiel of the Holiday lnn
Express for our lecturers and guests. ln the event we develop further plans for
evenls, uie will tvcrk with a hotel for a package or event activity.
2500 character litrit
Application Questions: Part 4
6l Additional lnformation
Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your
project and its benefit to tourism.
2020 lnformation lf you hatl a olanned event in 2020, wllether it was able lo take place ol nol, pleaso describe any successes artt1
challenges you experiencerl.
There u'ere numerous planned events scheduled for the Museurn in 2020 that r,riere
cancelled or postponed as a result of the COVID-19 closure.
