Response 1: <br />ProjecVEvent <br />Description * <br />This project is designed to increase historic au,areness, brand au,arerress, and <br />eveniual tourism and attendance by continuing to apply new and exciiing <br />promotions through social nredia marketing, online video and neusletier production <br />and distribution, and website development relating to Kittitas Counly history. <br />The project will focus on the development of virtual lectures, with a tourism <br />promotion of Ellensburg and Kittiias County; possible promotion of onsite lectures <br />depending on guidelines rdrich rarlculd feature topics and entice visitation of the <br />area and museLim; website updates for activities, including but not limited to virtual <br />and onsite leclures, ntaking it more mobile friendly, "Did You Knord' pages on <br />topics of local history questioned by frequent visitors and guests to the county, and <br />eiribits to be featured in 2021 including irrigation, fair and rodeo, the Rodeo City <br />Roller Girls, banking history (including the Kittitas State Bank, Cle Elum State Bank <br />and the Roslyn Bank Robbery), disastrous events (like the 1906 Floods in <br />Ellensburg and Cle Elum); and more. Videos will be developed to include personal <br />stories of newfeatures and stories relating to these topics and historic items and <br />incorporated on the uebsite. All r,r,rll be featured through twice monthly nerasletters <br />that will encourage individuals to stay in Kittitas Courrty and highlight information <br />related to the theme of that nevrsletler. <br />This entire plan is focused on sharing infornration and encouraging individuals to <br />learn more about Kittitas County history v*rile staying safe during these uncertain <br />times. Since many of our plans for 2020 had been cancelled or postponed until <br />2021 (and those plans even remain uncertain due to our limited capacity), we are <br />pursuing a more-virtual opportunity to share our Museum and local history wiih the <br />raorld. Prior to the COVID-19 closure on March 16.2028, r.rrc had continued to show <br />a25o/oincrease in attendance per month. These numbers vrere reflected in 2019 <br />year-errd totals of 8,328 total visitors (5,426 came to viewthe exhibits only. with an <br />increase of 386 over the prior year).
