Future Plans*The Washington State Ski & Snoraboard Museum has plans to nrake this program
self-sustain ing.
Previously, WSSSM marketing epenses had been utilized for printed rack cards,
brochures, posters, a basic \ebsite, Facebook, and enrail campaigns. ln 2019, we
did a major vr,ebsite revamp, and added lnslagram, YouTube, and some limited
paid Facebook advertising to our social media efforts. We have also found larger 6
x 9 direct mail postcards to our mailing list to be an effeciive \ €y of generating
RSVPs for our events. Each year, r,r,e pay for WSDOT freeraray signage advertising
the museum on l-90.
ln 2019, we also invested marketing dollars to create a WSSSM booth with free-
standing signage, table signage and giveavvays, including WSSSM pens, Bob Cranr
notecards, WSSSM stickers, WSSSM gift tags. and most recently WSSSM
stylusipens for use in the museum during Covid. This booih has gotten
considerable usage at our o\.4r events, Warren Miller movies, Ski Bonkers and
event at The Summit at Snoqualmie.
After investing dollars in WSSSM's digital and in person marketing presence the
past two years, with the heip of the Kiititas County Lodging Tax Grant \ne are now
ready to invest in a paid digital campaign with a targeted, supported print
canrpaign. This campaign Wll have three components:
1. General Museum AwarenesslMarketing/TourismlVisit Us Campaign which wll
change by season lor 2021
2. Surprising to some,
WSSSM is just as busy in the summer as it is in the winter. Whal u/as impacted, r,ras
WSSSM's partner programs with Dru Bru, The Sunrmit at Snoqualmie, and others.
ln the fall of 2019, WSSSM has many discussions with Dru Bru about parttrering
our spaces together to host a series of events including lectures, music, and beer
tastings, and other private events. We u,ere also set to sponsor Dru Bru's already
successful tunnel run. Due to Covid, these events \4€re not able to get started in
2A2O.
