HOSPTTAL DISIRICTT2 <br />KITTITAS COUNTY pUBUC HOSPITAT D|STR|CT NO. 2/EMS <br />RESOLUTION No. 11-09-20-06 <br />Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br />November 9,2020 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF KITTITA5 COUNTY PUBLIC HOSPITAL DISTRICT <br />No. 2lEMs, DECLARING AND FtNDtNG THAT suBsrANTtAL NEED Extsrs AND DtREcING THAT A uMtr <br />FACTOR OF 101 PERCENT BE USED FOR THE EMS PROPERTY TAX LEVY TO BE COLLECTED IN 2021 IN THE <br />DISTRICT. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Kittitas County Public Hospital District No, 2/EMS has met <br />and considered its budget for the calendar year 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners in the course of considering the budget for 2o2I has reviewed <br />all sources of revenue and examined all anticipated expenses and obligations; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has determined that, due to increased operating costs for <br />administration, medical services, and other factors the Board of Commissioners finds that there is a <br />substantial need to increase the regular property tax levy rate up to 1% above the previous year,s levy; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, RCW 84.55.0101 authorizes the Board of Commissioners, upon a finding of substantial need <br />to approve a Resolution by a super majority vote to establish a limit factor of up to 101% <br />NOW, BE lT RESOLVED, by the Eoard of Commissioners of Kittitas County Public Hospital District No. 2 <br />that based on the substantial need of the District, the limit factorforthe levy fortaxes to be collected in <br />calendar year 202t shall be 101 per cent of the highest amount of property taxes that could have been <br />lawfully levied in this taxing district beginning with the 1985 levy, refund levy not included. <br />ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Board of Commissioners of Kittitas County Public Hospital District No. <br />2/EMS on the 9'h day of November, ZOZO. <br />P and Com mislibner <br />m oner <br />lSSroner
