JT3 <br />YAKIMA AND KITTITAS COUNTIES, WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTT ON NO. 04 -2020-202 | <br />CERTIFICATION OF 2O2I EXCESS PROPERTY TAXES <br />A RESOLUTION of the Board of Directors of Naches Valley School District <br />No. JT3, Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington, certifying to the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent <br />of Educational Service District 105 the amount of excess property taxes to be levied in <br />year 2020 and collected in year 2021 for the District's Ceneral Fund and Debt Sewice <br />Fund; and providing for related matters. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF NACHES VALLEY SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT NO' JT3, YAKIMA AND KITTITAS COIJNTIES WASHINGTON, as flollows: <br />Section I . Findinss and Determinations. The Board of Directors (the "Board") of Naches <br />Valley School District No. JT3, Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington (the "District',j takes note <br />of the following facts and makes the folrowing findings and determinaiions, <br />(a) By Resolution No. 0l -2020-2A2l,the Board adopted a budger for Fiscal Year2020-2021 <br />(the"2020'21 Budget") that included certified Ceneral Fund educational piograms and operation excess <br />property taxes in the amount of $2,551,251 to be levied in2020 and collectJd inZ02l. The Board has <br />determined that the amount of the District's General Fund educationalprograms and operation excess <br />tax levy previously certified in the 2020-21 Budget of $2,551,251 should now be increased to <br />$2,750,000. <br />(b) The2020-21 Budget included certified Debt Service Fund excess property taxes ro pay <br />debt service on all of the District's outstanding unlimited tax generalobligation bonds in the amount <br />of $1,600,000 to be levied in 2020 and collected in20Zl <br />Section 2. Certification of Cen€iql. Fund Excess Properry Tax Lev.v: A$sesso{ <br />Authorization. Pursuant to RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the no".O of C*.ty <br />Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational <br />Service District 105 an excess property tax levy in the amount of $2,250,b00 to be levied in calendar <br />year2020 and collected in calendar y ear202l for the District's Ceneral Fund. The Assessors of yakima <br />and Kittitas Counties, Washington, are authorized and directed, without flurther Board action, to <br />reduce the General Fund excess property tax levy amount to be extended upon the tax rolls and <br />collected in calendar yezr 2021 to be consistent with the limirations imposed Uy nCW 84.52.0531 . <br />$ection 3. Certification of Debt Seryice Fpnd Excess Proper$r Tax Lev.v. pursuanr to <br />RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas <br />Cou-nties-, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District t05 an excess property <br />tax levy in the amount of $1,600,000 to be levied in calendar year2020 and collected in calendaryear <br />2021for the District's Debt Service Fund. <br />Section 4' General Authorization and Ratification. The Secretary to the Board, the Chair <br />of the Board, the District's Director of Business and Operations, and other appropriate officers of the <br />District are authorized to take all other actions and execute all other documents n"te.s"ry to effectuate <br />JJ l6tc7t :
