ELLENSBURG SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 401 <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 08.10.20 <br />CERTIFICATION OF 2O2l EXCESS PROPERTY TAXES <br />A RESOLUTION of the Board of Directors of Ellensburg School District No. <br />401, Kittitas County, Washington, certifying to the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Kittitas County, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District <br />No. 105, the amount of excess property taxes to be levied in year 2020 and collected in <br />year 2021for the District's General Fund, Debt Service Fund and Capital Projects Fund; <br />and providing for related matters. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF ELLENSBURG SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT NO.40L, KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON, as follows: <br />Section 1" Findings and Determinations. The Board of Directors (the ooBoard") of <br />Ellensburg School DistrictNo.401, Kittitas County, Washington (the "District") takes note of the <br />following facts and makes the following findings and determinations: <br />(a) By Resolution No. 19.07.20, the Board adopted a budget for Fiscal Year 2020-21 (the*2020-2I Budget") that included certified General Fund educational programs and operation excess <br />property taxes in the amount of $4,74t,027 to be levied in202O and collectedinZAZI. <br />(b) The 2020-21 Budget also included certified Dcbt Service Fund excess property taxes to <br />pay debt service on all of the District's outstandingunlimited tax general obligation bondsin the amount <br />of $9,104,000 to be levied in2O2O and collecte d in 2021,. The Board has determined that the amount of <br />the District's Debt Service Fund excess tax levy previously certified in the 2020-2I Budget of $9,104,000 <br />should now be increased to the amount of $9,775,000. <br />(") The 2020-21 Budget further included certified Capital Projects Fund excess property <br />taxes in the amount of $688,000 to be levied in2020 and collectedin2o2l. <br />Section 2. Certification of General Fund Exce$s Property Tax [,eyy. Pursuant to RCW <br />84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington <br />and the Superintendent of Educational Service District No. 105, an excess property tax levy in the <br />amount of $4,741,027 to be levied in calendar year 2020 and collected in calindar year 202L for the <br />District's General Fund. <br />Section 3. Certification of Debt Service Fund Excess Property Tax tevy. Pursuant to <br />RCW 84'52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, <br />Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District No. 105, an excess property tax <br />levy in the amount of $9,775,000 to be levied in calendar year 2020 and collected in calendar year 202L <br />for the District's Debt Service Fund. <br />Section 4. Certification of Capital Projects Fund Excess Property Tax Levy. Pursuant to <br />RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, <br />Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District No. 105, an excess property tax <br />53166454.1
