JT3 YAKIMA AND KITTITAS COUNTIES, WASHINCTON RESOLUTI ON NO. 04-2020 -2021 CERTIFICATION OF 2O2I EXCESS PROPERTY TAXES A RESOLUTION of the Board of Directors of Naches Valley School Disrrict No. JT3, Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington, certifying to the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District 105 the amount of excess property taxes to be levied in year2020 and collected in year 2021 for the District's General Fund and Debt Service Fund; and providing for related matters. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF NACHES VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. JT3, YAKIMA AND KITTITAS COUNTIES WASHINGTON, as follows: Section l. Findings and Determinations. The Board of Directors (the "Board") of Naches Valley School District No. JT3, Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington (the "District") takes note of the following facts and makes the following findings and determinations: (a) By Resolution No. 0l -2020-2021, the Board adopted a budget for Fiscal Year2020-2021 (the"2020'21 Budget") that included certified ceneral Fund educational piograms and operation excess propefty taxes in the amount of $2,55 1,251 to be levied in 2020 and collecte d in 2021. The Board has determined that the amount of the District's General Fund educational programs and operation excess tax levy previously certified in the 2020-Zl Budget of $2,551,251 should now be increased to $2,750,000. (b) The2020-21 Budget included certified Debt Service Fund excess property taxes to pay debt service on all of the District's outstanding unlimited tax general obligation bonds in the amount of $1,600,000 to be levied in202A and collecred in 2021. Section 2. Certification o[ Cener4l Fund Excess Property Tax Levv: Assessor Authorization. Pursuant to RCW 84.52.020, the Board ceftifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District 105 an excess property tax levy in the amount of $2,750,000 to be levied in calendar year 2020 and collected in calendar year202l for the District's General Fund. The Assessors of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington, are authorized and directed, without further Board action, to reduce the General Fund excess property tax levy amount to be extended upon the tax rolls and collected in calendar year 2021 to be consistent with the timirations imposed by RCW 84.52.0531. Section 3. Certification of Debt Service Fund Excess Propertv Tax Levy. Pursuant to RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District t05 an excess property tax levy in the amount of $1,600,000 to be levied in calendar year2020 and collected in calendaryear 2021 for the District's Debt Service Fund. Section 4. General Authorization and Ratification. The Secretary to the Board, the Chair of the Board, the District's Director of Business and Operations, and other appropriate officers of the District are authorized to take all other actions and execute all other documents necessary to effectuate 5Jl6te?t:
