BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 -_____ <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING CHAIR SIGNATURE ON THE QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR A <br />PORTION OF SPARKS ROAD TO THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners and Washington State <br />Department of Transportation (WSDOT) agreed to work cooperatively in real <br />estate matters associated with Interstate 90 construction in May of 1972 pursuant <br />to Agreement GM 752; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners amended Agreement GM 752 in Resolution <br />2020-126 allowing for the conveyance of necessary land along Sparks Road <br />supporting construction of current I-90 improvements by WSDOT; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The conveyance of a certain portion of Sparks Road is now necessary completing <br />I-90 proposed improvements; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chair’s signature on the Quit Claim Deed <br />conveying a portion of Sparks Road to WSDOT supporting current I-90 construction. <br /> <br />DATED this 1st day of December 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Attest: <br /> <br />☐ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik ________________________________ <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice-Chairman <br />☐ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br /> _______________________________ ________________________________ <br /> Cory Wright, Commissioner <br /> <br />
