Attachment C
WORK PLAN
FY 2020 Emergency Management Performance Grant COVID-19 Supplemental
Kittitas County Sheriffs Office
The purpose of EMPG-S funds is to assist state, local, and tribal emergency management activities supporting the prevention of,
preparation for, and response to the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency. Funding wil be used to
support planning and operavonal readiness for COVID-19 preparedness and response, deve'opment of tools and strategies for prevention,
preparedness, and response, and ongoing communication and coordination among federal, State, local, tribal, and territorial partners
throughout the response. EMPG-S grant funds are intended to support the National Preparedness Goal and fund activities and projects
that build and sustain the capabilities necessary to prevent, protect against, mitigate the effects of, respond to, and recover from those
threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to the security of the Nation.
Vaccine a for
WORK PLANNED
RESULT OF THE WORK
Purchase a refrigerator to store vaccines This will be housed at Klttitas
The refrigerator will be used to safely store flu vaccinesthat will be given at
County Publ c Health. By makingthe flu vaccine available and
accessible, Kittitas County will be able to provide vaccinations to residents,
which will reduce the number of people needing to utilize the healthcare
system as a result of contracting the flu. Ultimately, this reduces the
burden on the healthcare system (more available hospital beds, etc.),
allowing for the treatment of more COVID-19 patients, as needed.
Additionally, the refrigerator will be used to store the COMD-19
vaccination, when available, to support a COVID-19 vaccination drive-
through. By making vaccinations easily accessible and vaccinating more
people, the county is able to potentially reduce overburdening the health
care system and better manage the spread of the virus.
PPE, Respirear ittest Idt andtrahting
WORK PLANNED
RESULT OF THE WORK
Purchase two fit test k(ts.
