*ffiE ELLENSBU RG
DOWNTOWN
ASSOCTATTON
June 18,2020
Kittitas County Lodging1'ax Advisory Comminee
Cornmissionetrs Office 205
Vf. 5th Ave. Suite 108,
Ellensbutg,'$fl4 98926
Deat Cotntnittee Membets,
On behalf of the Ellensbwg Downtown Association, I would like to strongly support the City of
Ellensburg's application through the 'Tourism Related, Small Scale Municipality-Owned Capital
Project'progtam for the proposed improvements at the future dorvntown park. As both a supporter
and organizer of local evetrts, the EDA sees the benefits of this much needed ptoject. The future
downtown park location serves as the hub of ow beautiful historic downtown, and the opportunity
to enhance the park and create a more user-ftendly space will provide many economic benefits for
our County. In its cunent configuation, the site is testrictive in not only how events can be set up
but also limits the numbet of people that ate able to attend the event. As a tesult of this ptoject,
event organizers will have mote flexibility to create the type of envjronmetrt event attendees are
looking to cxperience.
Thank you for yout considetation of this ptoject, out office would be happy to answ€t any additional
quesrions you may have.
Sincetely,
TaylotVillwock
Public Relarions Cootdinator
Ellensburg Downtown Ass ociation
Ellcnsburg Downtowe Association
i 19 !( 5'r' Ave. Srute 102, Eller:sburg, V(A 93926
rwr.rv.ellensb urgdorvntorvn. org 509 -9 62 -6246
