KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />November 17, 2020 <br />Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a speed <br />reduction on Thrall Road and amend Kittitas <br />County Code Chapter 10.08.020 Speed Limits. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works <br />received a request on September 25, 2020 to <br />conduct a speed study and consider a reduction of <br />speed on Thrall Road between No. 6 Road and Moe <br />Road (50 MPH to 35 MPH). The speed study was <br />conducted, and staff is now presenting the findings <br />for consideration. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Hold a Public Hearing on November 17, 2020 at <br />2:00 pm to consider a speed reduction on Thrall <br />road and amend Kittitas County Code Section <br />10.08.020 Speed Limits and receive public <br />testimony. <br />HANDLING: Return one signed Ordinance to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Engineer's Report; Ordinance <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
