KPG <br />TASK 613 — FINAL DESIGN (GUARDRAIL REPLACEMENT AND UPGRADE) <br />Objective: Develop final project design for the Vantage Highway guardrail replacement and <br />upgrade including construction plans, specifications, and cost estimate. Perform the design <br />congruent with pavement repair and overlay design, permit requirements and the <br />recommendations of the geotechnical report. <br />Consultant Responsibilities: <br />I. Participate in design coordination meetings with the County. Prepare agendas, figures, <br />meeting minutes and other exhibits as necessary. Assumes up to two coordination meetings. <br />2. Coordinate with utility owners within the project area. it is anticipated that the utilities may <br />include Consolidated Communications, Kittitas County PUD and Puget Sound Electric. <br />3. Prepare a 90% Review Submittal for review and approval by the County. The 90% submittal <br />will incorporate review comments and build upon the 30% submittal and will include, at a <br />minimum, the following (for plans that are common between Task 6A and Task 6B, one <br />plan will be prepared for both tasks): <br />a. Plans <br />i. Survey Basemap <br />ii. Typical Sections <br />iii. Guardrail Plans and Details <br />iv. Site Preparation Plans <br />V. Site Restoration Plans <br />vi. Miscellaneous Details <br />vii. Traffic Control Plans <br />b. Specifications <br />c. Construction Cost Estimate <br />d. internal QA/QC review <br />4. Prepare a Pre -Bid Review Submittal for review and approval by the County. The Pre -Bid <br />submittal will incorporate review comments and build upon the 90% submittal and will <br />include, at a minimum, the following (for plans that are common between Task 6A and <br />Task 6B, one plan will be prepared for both tasks): <br />a. Plans <br />i. Survey Basemap <br />ii. Typical Sections <br />iii. Guardrail Plans and Details <br />iv. Site Preparation Plans <br />V. Site Restoration Plans <br />vi.
