BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - <br />TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH SNOW & ICE CONTROL PRODUCTS FOR 2021 <br />AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SIGN CONTRACT <br />DOCUMENTS <br />WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was advertised for Snow and Ice Control Products for 2021 on <br />October 8, 2020 and October 15, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on October 22, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the office of Kittitas <br />County Public Works and four (4) bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bid of Envirotech <br />Services Inc. for Item #1 — Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for Item <br />#2 — Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Calcium Chloride; the responsible bid of Pioneer <br />Commodities for Item 43 — Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride; the responsible <br />bid of Rankin Products, LLC for Item 44 - Non Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium <br />Chloride; and the responsible bid of Roadwise, Inc. for Item #5 — RoadSaver — Soil <br />Stabilizer be accepted for Snow & Ice Control Products for 2021; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2021 Snow & Ice Control Products to Envirotech Services <br />Inc. for Item #I — Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for Item #2 — Corrosion Inhibited <br />Liquid Calcium Chloride; the responsible bid of Pioneer Commodities for Item 43 — Corrosion Inhibited <br />Solid Sodium Chloride; the responsible bid of Rankin Products, LLC for Item #4 - Non Corrosion <br />Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride; and the responsible bid of Roadwise, Inc. for Item #5 — RoadSaver — <br />Soil Stabilizer upon such terms and conditions as specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s); <br />and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the contract <br />documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s). <br />DATED this 3rd day of November 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KFFTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
