KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 20, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing for November 3, 2020 at <br />2:00 pm to consider a Utility Area Franchise with <br />Snoqualmie Pass Public Utility District <br />BACKGROUND: Recently, Public Works determined that the Pass Public <br />Utility District (SPUD) does not have a valid franchise <br />agreement for water and sewer utility services lines located <br />within County right of way. Staff has prepared a franchise <br />agreement that the Prosecuting Attorney's Office has <br />reviewed and commented upon. All PA's Office comments <br />are incorporated into staff's franchise agreement. The <br />agreement is now ready to go to public hearing. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for November 3, 2020 at 2:00 pm to <br />consider a Utility Area Franchise with Snoqualmie Pass <br />Public Utility District. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
