Page 2 of') <br />December 14, 2020 - Selection of firms and prepare contracts <br />December 28, 2020 - BOCC Award of Contracts <br />The selection process shall be as follows: <br />• Submittals are reviewed and scored by the Public Works selection committee. <br />• Selection of firms to interview may be waived if the selection committee decides to award to a single firm based on <br />review of the submittals. <br />• Firms will be selected to interview if the selection committee decides that interviews are required. The specific <br />interview format will be provided to firms in advance of interviews. <br />• The Public Works Director will negotiate a scope of work and fee with the selected consultant. <br />• Providing that a scope of work and fee is successfully negotiated, the consultant will be recommended for award to <br />the Board of County Commissioners during a Board business session (December 28, 2020). <br />• The selected consultant will then enter into a standard professional service agreement with Public Works. <br />Kittitas County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and <br />Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, <br />Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby <br />notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, <br />disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response <br />to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration <br />for an award. <br />Kittitas County in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504) and the Americans with Disabilities <br />Act (ADA) commits to nondiscrimination on the basis of disability, in all of its programs and activities. This material can be <br />made available in an alternate format by a mailing Candie Leader at candie.leader@co.kittitas.wa.us or by calling collect <br />509-962-7523. <br />The above noted schedule is tentative and may be changed based on the number of proposals submitted. Proposals will be <br />evaluated immediately with final selection targeted for early December 2020. <br />AGREEMENT OF SERVICES: <br />The selected consultant(s) will be expected to enter into a standard Professional Services Agreement. Insurance <br />requirements are included in that agreement. The anticipated contract period shall be December 2020 to December 2022. <br />Persons with disabilities may request this information be prepared and supplied in alternate forms by calling collect (509- <br />962-7523). <br />Kittitas County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals or any items or part thereof or to waive any <br />information or irregularities in the proposals. Kittitas County shall have the sole discretion to determine the most responsible <br />proposal. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />No cost or fee schedules shall be submitted with your response. Consultants will be selected on their qualifications and <br />experience as noticed in this solicitation, with fees determined through negotiations following selection.
