RECEIVED <br />JUL 22 2020 July 22, 2020 <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />To Whom It May Concern: <br />I am writing this letter to propose that the current speed limit of 50mph on the <br />section of Lyons Road, between Wilson Creek Road and Naneum Road, be <br />lowered to 35mph. Lyons Road currently has 3 narrow bridges that are not easily <br />crossed when there is oncoming traffic. Lyons Road also has significant dip in the <br />road that causes a very unclear line of sight. There are many people who use <br />Lyons road for walking, bicycle riding and just enjoying nature who are also at risk <br />from those driving 50mph and over. Agricultural use is also very prevalent on <br />Lyons Road. Many of the houses are very close to the road and most have <br />children and/or pets making it dangerous for all in a 50mph zone. <br />
