We urge you te srrpport the Washington {WA} Stat€ Horse Par rpplication <br />for $?.0 millisn in capitalfunding support tar a Covered Areno snd Associated gui6-Aut <br />submitted by the WA State Horse Park Aulhorig <br />Our goal is to make WA Stat€ Horse Park the new home for our future monthly horse sbows. To <br />do that, we will need a covered aren;i ta protefi the footing and accornrnsdate our spectators, <br />judges and cornpetitors during our cornpetitions. ln the past, we have rttracted "World <br />Charnpions" such as Matt 6aines, Greg Smith and lindy Burch as well as local trainers like Joslr <br />Sleeman {ilCHA Hall of Famer}and loe Jones Jr.{NCHA Zane Schulte Award reclplent} to our <br />shows. With this new arena we hope to invite this prestigiour group cf professionals and many <br />others to th€ WA Stat€ Horse Park fsr qualily {aw cutting events, <br />Centrally located in Cle Elum, the ll?-acre Horse Park is a de*inatien venue among horse <br />facilities in our $tate and will easily anract competitors to o$r events. The ParKs ability to draw <br />people from outside the local area uniquely characterires ihe Park's impact and already <br />generat€s $3.4 million in total econornic irnpact. ?he Covered Arena will allow the Park to <br />attract more hcrse disciplines, host larger sbows and extend its operating seeson from fiv€ to <br />nine rnonths, significantly increasing the size and number cf events held at the Park. <br />Thank you for your consideration.
