KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 6, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing for October 20, 2020 <br />at 2:00 pm to consider a Speed Reduction on Lyons <br />Road and Amend Kittitas County Code Section <br />10.08.020 Speed Limits <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works <br />received a neighborhood petition to conduct a <br />speed study and consider a reduction of speed on <br />Lyons Road between Wilson Creek Road and <br />Naneum Road (50 MPH to 35 MPH). The speed <br />study was conducted, and Public Works is now <br />requesting to set a Public Hearing to receive public <br />testimony and discuss the results of said study. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for October 20, 2020 at 2:00 pm <br />to consider a Speed Reduction on Lyons Road and <br />Amend Kittitas County Code Section 10.08.020 <br />Speed Limits. <br />HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public <br />Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
