KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, WEBEX <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM September 28, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith and Laura <br />Osiadacz <br />Others: Dan Carlson and Jessica Miller Community Development <br />Services; Pat Nicholson, Fire Marshal; Mark Cook, Candie Leader, <br />Public Works; Benjamin West and Ken Grannan, Airport. <br />At 1:31 pm Chairman Brett Wachsmith opened the Community <br />Development Services Study Session. <br />Request to Approve Proclamation Declaring October 4-10, 2020 as <br />Fire Prevention Week <br />Fire Marshal Pat Nicholson presented the proposal for <br />designating Fire Prevention Week to be October 4-10, 2020. He <br />stated he would like to host a fire safety poster contest <br />throughout the county. The schools have been contacted but due <br />to the current situation, unsure how much participation will <br />happen. The theme this year is "Serve up Fire Safety in the <br />Kitchen". <br />Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve the Proclamation Declaring <br />October 4-10, 2020 as Fire Prevention Week. Commissioner <br />Osiadacz seconded. Discussion - Commissioner Osiadacz thanked <br />Fire Marshal Nicholson for putting this together and continuing <br />the tradition.
