08/31/2020 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br />REQUEST SEASONAL POSITION – KVEC EVENT CENTER <br /> <br />Lisa Young, HR Director presented the Board with additional <br />information they requested at during her HR Study Session. She <br />stated that Director Porterfield has savings in her budget due to a <br />current employee being out on FMLA. She reviewed the salary options <br />pending experience and stated that it would be no more then 3 <br />months. <br /> <br />The Board stated they would support it when a PAF comes forward. <br /> <br />PLANNING COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />General updates were shared by the Board relating to COVID-19 <br />meetings they participate in or information they have had shared <br />with them. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined for the week of August 31, 2020 that they would <br />continue to share on their Facebook page any Press Releases from <br />Public Health relating to COVID-19; as well as ongoing information <br />about the 4-H Livestock Auction/noting that its done by a non-profit <br />and a reminder about water safety tips. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES- <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz gave an update on Pheasant Lane and stated <br />that she would like to see the Public Hearing continued to allow for <br />a work session with DNR, Pheasant Lane Community and County Staff. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright informed the Board about a update received <br />during his Homelessness & Affordable Housing Advisory Committee <br />meeting and stated that the KVEC will be hosting the cold weather <br />shelter this year. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:38 a.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Laura Osiadacz, Vice-Chairman
