AUGUST 25, 2020 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman, Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz & Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Jim Jones, <br />Assistant Audit Manager; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Judy Pless, <br />Budget & Finance Manager; Amy Cziske, Treasurer; Shelby Hageman, <br />Audit Lead and one member of the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING ST AUDITOR ENTRANCE CONF. COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 1:04 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting for an <br />entrance conference with representatives from the Washington <br />State Auditor’s office. <br /> <br />Shelby Hageman, Audit Lead & Jim Jones, Assistant Audit Manager <br />reviewed a handout they sent previously and reviewed the audit <br />scope, engagement letter, levels of reporting; Important <br />Information: regarding confidential information, audit costs <br />approximately $89,100.00; expected communications; audit dispute <br />process; loss reporting & peer reviews, emerging issues & <br />financial reporting for investment trust funds. <br /> <br />He stated that for their Federal review they plan to test the <br />National Dam Safety Program and briefed the Board on other up- <br />coming meetings they would like to have to discuss the Financial <br />Audit and the Accountability Audit. <br /> <br />LETTER ENGAGEMENT LETTER COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve and authorize Chair <br />signature on the Kittitas County/State Auditor Engagement Letter <br />as presented. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3- <br />0. <br /> <br />LETTER KSD LETTER OF SUPPORT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz reviewed a letter she drafted and had been <br />reviewed by Dr. Larson, and noted he supported it.
