KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST STH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM June 22, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, and Laura Osiadacz <br />Others: Dan Carlson, Lindsey Ozbolt <br />Meeting was called to order at 1:30 pm <br />CDS Operations Update <br />Director Carlson briefed the Board of County Commissioners on the <br />current Permit Technician staff. Before the pandemic, CDS staffed <br />three permit technicians with two other employees who had permit <br />technician experience that could provide additional support when <br />needed. After July, the office will be down to two full time permit <br />technicians due to a military tour and various other <br />reasons. Director Carlson is currently working on a plan to develop <br />more coverage for staff. <br />Annual Docket <br />Director Carlson asked for direction from the Board of County <br />Commissioners regarding the 2020 Annual docket. Due to the current <br />pandemic, hosting public hearings is against the Governor's orders. <br />Hosting public meetings virtually has some concerns, one of which <br />include some participants may have limited technology <br />capabilities. The board gave staff direction to move forward with <br />annual docket limiting to legislative matters and asked Director <br />Carlson to research developmental site regulations with legal <br />counsel. Director Carlson will follow-up with findings -at the <br />upcoming study session. <br />Meeting Adjourn at 1:48pm <br />2020-6-22 MINUTES 1 <br />
