KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST STH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM July 13, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, and Laura Osiadacz <br />Others: Dan Carlson, Mike Flory, Pat Nicholson, Lindsey Ozbolt, <br />Bridget Pechtel (CDS) <br />Meeting was called to order at 1:30 pm <br />CDS Operations Update <br />Director Carlson was pleased to brief the Board of County <br />Commissioners with an operational update. All the divisions in CDS are <br />currently operating in full force and still providing a high level of <br />service with the limited occupancy requirements. Currently the <br />Building Department is receiving 20-25 applications a week while <br />issuing 20-25 permits as well. A new plan review timeline feature was <br />added to the Community Development Services website to provide <br />customers with up to date plan review progress. Director Carlson was <br />happy to report that building permit revenue was ahead of where it was <br />last year as well. <br />Request to Approve Resolution Extending Deadline for 2020 Annual <br />Docket <br />After legal review, Community Development Services is okay to extend <br />the deadline for 2020 annual docket items. The deadline would be <br />August 14, 2020 which would allow staff ample amount of time to <br />complete required work. Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve Resolution <br />2020-134, Resolution Extending Deadline for Docketing Comprehensive <br />Plan and Development Regulation Amendments for 2020 Annual Docket. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz seconded motion. Motion passes 3-0 <br />Request to Approve Resolution Declaring a Ban on Outdoor Burning <br />Fire Marshal Nicholson implemented a burn ban on July 11, 2020. <br />According to Kittitas County Code, a resolution must be presented to <br />the Board of County Commissioners (14) days after the Fire Marshal <br />declares a burn ban. Chairman Wachsmith moves to approve Resolution <br />2020- 135, Resolution Declaring a Ban on Outdoor <br />2020-7-13 MINUTES 1 <br />
