KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM July 27, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, and Laura Osiadacz <br />Others: Lindsey Ozbolt (CDS)and Dan Carlson (CDS) <br />Meeting was called to order at 1:30 pm <br />Update on Remote Land Use Hearings <br />Director Carlson has recently taken trainings and has researched the <br />benefits of virtual Land Use Hearings and wanted to update the Board <br />of County Commissioners on his findings. He suggested that we update <br />the notice process and then put in some fall back measures in place to <br />ensure all bases are covered. Director Carlson plans to host a mock <br />hearing before conducting an actual Land Use Hearing sometime in <br />September. <br />Discussion Regarding Pre -application Conferences <br />During the mandatory shutdown, there was a temporary waiver put in <br />place to waive pre -application conference meetings. Director Carlson <br />requested direction on how the Board would like to proceed moving <br />forward with pre -application conferences. The Board of County <br />Commissioners directed Director Carlson to draft up some code language <br />and criteria and report back at an upcoming CDS Study Session. <br />Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Update <br />Long Range Planner, Bridget Pechtel will be sending out sections of <br />the Capital Improvement Program to Department Heads and Elected <br />Officials that are responsible to facilities to update before the end <br />of the year. The Board of County Commissioners will send out email to <br />Department Heads and Elected Officials to urge them to complete the <br />CIP paperwork in a timely fashion. <br />Meeting adjourn at 2:35pm <br />2020-7-27 MINUTES 1 <br />
