KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 4, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing to consider the Proposed <br />Establishment of Thompson Canyon Road <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Public Lands Committee desires establishing <br />approximately 3.05 miles of unopened County Right of <br />Way currently known as Pheasant Lane. County Surveyor <br />Turnbull's research identifies the unopened right of way as <br />being referenced as "Thompson Canyon Road". A public <br />hearing is required to receive the Engineer's report from <br />the County Engineer regarding the proposed action. The <br />current gathering restriction of ten (10) imposed by the <br />Governor will likely force some mix of in person testimony <br />with virtual testimony. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works, Prosecuting Attorney's Office <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the notice of public hearing for August 18th, 2020 <br />at 2:00 PM local time in the Board's Auditorium. <br />HANDLING: <br />Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Exhibit depicting length of Thompson Canyon Road <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Mark R.
