BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2020 - <br />WASHINGTON WILDLIFE AND RECREATION PROGRAM <br />FARMLAND PRESERVATION <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CHAIR AND/OR <br />FULL BOARD SIGNATURE ON ESCROW DOCUMENTS, SETTLEMENT STATEMENT, <br />TITLE DOCUMENTS, REETA, AND CONSERVATION EASEMENT FOR ACQUISITION OF <br />INTEREST IN REAL PROPERTY FOR FARMLAND PRESERVATION, AS PROVIDED IN <br />CHAPTER 79A.15 RCW <br />KITTITAS COUNTY AND FORTERRA <br />HAIRPIN RANCH (AKA RADER ROAD RANCH) PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, under the provisions of Washington Wildlife and Recreation Project (WWRP), state <br />funding assistance is requested to aid in financing the cost of land acquisition and preservation of <br />farmland; and <br />WHEREAS, our organization considers it in the best public interest to complete the acquisition project <br />described in the application; and <br />WHEREAS, the submitted application refers to the Hairpin Ranch Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the acquisition involves a co -holding of a conservation easement between Kittitas County and <br />Forterra; and <br />WHEREAS, the application is for acquisition of approximately 276 acres; and <br />WHEREAS, any fund assistance received shall be used for implementation of the project referenced above; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, our agency hereby certifies that its share ofproject funding, specifically the annual inspection of <br />the property, is committed and will be derived as referenced in the project application; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County acknowledges that any property acquired with RCO financial aid must be <br />preserved for actual or potential agricultural use and be retained for such potential or actual use in perpetuity <br />unless a term of not less than 25 years from the date of acquisition has been agreed to by the our organization <br />and RCO; and <br />
