KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 21, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Statement of Qualifications Supporting Design <br />Services for Vantage Highway CRP 298-19 <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works has grant funding from the County Road <br />Administration Board and Highway Safety Improvement Program to <br />overlay Vantage Highway and replace guardrail ($2,194,259). Total <br />project costs are currently estimated at $2,660,000. Survey is <br />complete. We currently do not have adequate design resource to take <br />on the design internally. We avoid match by moving quickly getting a <br />consultant in place on the project. <br />After a review from WSDOT it was determined that we needed to <br />change our advertisement to reflect updated Title VI language. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the advertisement for professional design services for CRP <br />298-19. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Statement of Qualifications <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
