06/29/2020 MINUTES 2 <br />Commissioner Wright moved to approve to appoint Theo Leonard to the <br />Water Conservancy Board and to authorize the Chair’s signature on a <br />letter. Chairman Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> REQUEST DEPARTMENT HEAD MEETINGS COMMISSIONERS <br />Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II presented the Board on <br />some options on Department Head meetings as the Office progresses <br />through COVID-19. The Board decided to hold off on specific <br />Department Head meetings for this time. Department Heads are <br />encouraged to continue to use their Study Sessions and to contact <br />the Clerks for special items. <br /> REQUEST LEASE AMENDMENT SOLID WASTE <br />Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance <br />Director/Project Manager stated that First and Last Chance Tavern is <br />interested in amending their lease to include gambling for pull <br />tabs. Neil Caulkins, DPA III has stated that a lease amendment would <br />be needed for this. The Board authorized Ms. Johnson to draft an <br />amendment and to bring back it for BOCC review on a later date. <br /> PLANNING COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS <br />Commissioner Wright had no updates at this time. <br /> <br />Chairman Wachsmith had no updates at this time. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz updated the Board that the Courthouse is open <br />for business as of today and that she had shared the Press Release <br />to Facebook. <br /> DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined for the week of June 29, 2020 that they would <br />share on their Facebook page any Press Releases from Public Health <br />and other information relating to COVID-19; a message for the 4th of <br />July, and a PSA for safe traveling while Road Crews are active. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES <br />Each Commissioner may use this time to brief the Board on varying <br />topics and discussions they independently had throughout the <br />previous week. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:22 a.m. <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD I KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
