BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />REsoLUloN No. zo2o - I L1y <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN STATE <br />OF WASHINGTON OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE AND KITTITAS COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for public <br />agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Washington Office of the Secretary of State (OSOS) and Kittitas County <br />Auditor's Office have the ability and desire to enter into such a cooperative agreement, a copy of <br />which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference as Exhibit A; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the purpose of this agreement to provide funding to "improve the <br />administration of elections for Federal office, including to enhance election technology and make <br />elections security improvements" to the systems, equipment and processes used in Federal elections; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED AND lT lS HEREBY ORDERED, That the agreement between <br />the State of Washington Office of State and Kittitas County to provide federal funds to "improve the <br />administration of elections for Federal office, including to enhance election technology and make <br />election security improvements" to the systems, equipment and processes used in Federal elections <br />is adopted and the signature of the Kittitas County Auditor on this agreement is acknowledged. <br />ADOPTED this &t4,of 2020. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS U W <br />t <br />smith lr <br />Julie A.
