tG-6891 <br />HHIHJI-A <br />STATEMENT OF WORK <br />The CARES Act makes clear that grant funds are for cosls associated with the national <br />emergency related to coronavirus and are to be spent "to prevent, prepare for, and respand to <br />coronavirus, domestically or internationally, for the 2020 Federal election Gycle." The following is <br />a list of activities eligible for Local Government Grant Funding, for which grant funds may be <br />used during the upcomin g 2O20 Federal Election cycle. This list is nol comprehensive and the <br />County may spend funds for activities not listed as long as the activities are associated with <br />compliance with the Title lll reguirements of HAVA and the CARES Act: <br />r Acquisition of additional voting equipment, including high speed or central count <br />tabulators and hardware and software to allow for social distancing or to reduce or <br />eliminate election staff handling potentially contaminated mail-in ballots. lnstallation and security for additional mail drop-boxes, for example at popular drop <br />boxes to maintain social distancing <br />r Temporary elections office staffing, beyond normal levels, due to the cororravirus <br />; Gleaning supplies and protective masks and equipment for elections staff in voting <br />centers, in ballot processing areas, or anywhere where election staff need cleaning <br />supplies or protective equipment due to coronavirusr Overtime salary and benefit costs, associated with the impacts of coronavirus, for <br />elections staff <br />. Training of elections employees on sanitization procedures <br />' Public communication of changes in registration, ballot request options, or voting <br />procedures, including information on coronavirus precautions being implemented during <br />the voting process. <br />r Mailings to inform the public on changes or determination of procedures of coronavirus <br />precautions, options in voting, and other voting information. <br />r Pre- and post-election deep cleaning of eleclion offices, voting centers, ballot processing <br />areas, or any other space where elections staff have worked or processed ballots.
