AR = Adjusted Rate effective October 1 <br />BR = Base Rate shown in A through E above <br />CPIp = CPI as of June of the year of adjustment <br />CPIzozo = CPI as of June 2020 <br />Z = percent amount proposed by Company in its Bid response <br />CPI means the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers for the West Region (Series <br />CUUR0400SA0, CUUS400SA), for all items, not seasonally adjusted,1982-1984 : 100 <br />basis, as published from time to time by the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of <br />Labor Statistics, or any other appropriate index as may be mutually agreed upon by the <br />parties hereto. <br />For example, if BR is $50.00, CPI for June 2021 is 184.3, CPI for June 2020 is 177 .0, and if <br />Z is 80o/o, AR for the year starting October 1,202I would be calculated as follows: <br />AR: $s0.00 X (1 + (((184.31177.0) X .80)): $s1.6s <br />0 Recyclable Material Credit. Company shall pay the County, or if such number is negative, <br />County shall pay the Company, a recyclable material credit each year due and payable on the <br />lst of October 2020 and each succeeding year for the term of this Agreement as full payment <br />for the value of the Recyclables hauled from the County's transfer stations. <br />On July I , 2020 and each succeeding month for the term of this Agreement, the recyclable <br />material credit will be calculated by the Company and reported to the County. <br />In accordance with the Kittitas County Solid Waste Management Plan, the Company and <br />County reserve the right, upon notice, to discontinue acceptance ofany category of <br />Recyclables set forth above as a result of market conditions related to such materials and <br />makes no representations as to the recyclability of the materials. Collected Recyclables for <br />which no commercially reasonable market exists may be landfilled at County's cost. <br />The recyclable material credit will apply to any additional material the County elects to <br />include in the drop-off recycling containers located at County transfer stations, provided <br />however that Company shall have the right to approve the addition, which approval shall not <br />be unreasonably withheld and further provided that the Parties agree upon a mutually <br />acceptable pricing mechanism <br />5
