KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 19, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing for June 2, 2020 at <br />2:00 pm to consider a Speed Reduction on Cove <br />Road and Amend Kittitas County Code Section <br />10.08.020 Speed Limits. <br />BACKGROUND: Responding to a speed study request from citizens <br />on Cove Road following a road fatality in February <br />2020, Kittitas County Department of Public Works <br />conducted a speed study and is now requesting to <br />set a Public Hearing to receive public testimony <br />and discuss the results of the requested speed <br />study. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works and the Sheriffs Office. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for June 2, 2020 at 2:00 pm to <br />consider reducing the speed along Cove Road and <br />amending Kittitas County Code Section 10.08.020 <br />Speed Limits. <br />HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public <br />Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director. <br />
