05/06/2020 MINUTES 2 <br />of a site or the acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase <br />when public knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a <br />likelihood of increased price. Potential action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 10:40 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. There <br />was no action taken. <br /> <br />At 10:42 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess <br />back into Executive Session for 5 minutes to consider the selection <br />of a site or the acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase <br />when public knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a <br />likelihood of increased price. Potential action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 10:47 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. There <br />was direction to Staff to purchase a mobile home in Shady Brook <br />Mobile Home Park and to approve Patti Johnson’s authority. This is <br />necessary given the timing and the County was approached by the <br />individual to sell, so they could purchase a newer and larger mobile <br />home. There is a dedicated fund for this purchase, and it would not <br />come out of COVID-19 funding or the General Fund. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING PLANNING UPDATE/COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz updated the Board on the letters she has been <br />working with other Washington Counties. This is an item on the <br />Agenda for May 7th at 1:00 p.m. meeting and will be discussed more <br />then. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright updated the Board on Vantage State Park and his <br />talks with Grant County PUD. Commissioner Wright will also be <br />working with Department Heads and the Ferguson Group. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith updated the Board that the Economic Recovery <br />Committee will have the opportunity to speak with Representative Kim <br />Schrier on Friday May 8th at 9:00 a.m. There are 15-20 businesses in <br />the County who have asked for technical assistance. Commissioner <br />Wachsmith stated that Lisa Young, HR Director and Patti Johnson, <br />Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance Director/Project Manager <br />are working on the opening plan for the Courthouse. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD I KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON Taylor Crouch Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />
