12/14/2015 MINUTES 2 <br />Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />LETTER TERESA SLOAN – AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Jewell moved to approve a letter of appreciation to <br />Teresa Sloan for her service on the Kittitas County Airport Advisory <br />Board. Chairman Berndt seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ISLAND COUNTY CORRESPONDENCE PROSECUTOR <br /> <br />Prosecutor Greg Zempel provided an update on correspondence received <br />from Island County regarding State ex rel. Banks v. Susan Drummond, <br />et al;, Island County Superior Court and RCW 36.32.200 Employment of <br />Special Attorneys. Mr. Zempel said the Island County Prosecutors <br />office is looking for a factual statement from other counties within <br />the State outlining information such as how often have they have <br />utilized the statute. He asked if he should draft one for <br />consideration to be signed by his office and the Kittitas County <br />Board of Commissioners. Commissioner Jewell explained that although <br />he appreciated the relationship with the Prosecutors office he did <br />not believe the County should get involved, as it seems to be more <br />of a political issue. Chairman Berndt agreed and therefore there was <br />no action taken by the Board. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2015-178 INTERLOCAL – DEPT. OF ECOLOGY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Jewell moved to approve Resolution No. 2015-178, <br />Authorizing an Interlocal Agreement between the State of Washington, <br />Department of Ecology and Kittitas County to Purchase Metering <br />Equipment and Water Rights. Chairman Berndt seconded. Motion <br />carried 2-0. <br /> <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT DEPT. OF ECOLOGY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Chairman Berndt moved to authorize Commissioner Jewell to sign the <br />Interlocal Agreement between the Department of Ecology and Kittitas <br />County to Purchase Metering Equipment and Water Rights. <br />Commissioner Jewell seconded.
