Agreement No: W2RCPG-1517-KiCoSW-00012 <br />Project Title: 2015-2017 CPG Kittitas County IMP <br />Recipient Name: Kittitas County Solid Waste <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Task Number: <br />Task Title: Moderate Risk Waste <br />Task Cost: $133,333.33 <br />Task Description: <br />The Moderate Risk Waste Disposal Project will focus on removing toxic substances from the solid waste stream. The <br />Moderate Risk Waste Disposal Facility in Ellensburg will continue to operate on an appointment basis. The Moderate <br />Risk Waste Facility in Cle Elum will operate every other Friday from April to November of each year. The <br />RECIPIENT will maintain the oil and antifreeze tanks at both facilities. The task will also include technical assistance <br />to Small Quantity Generators (SQGs) and provide education materials to the community. The educational materials <br />will promote buying less household chemicals and safer cleaning alternatives. Reimbursement for this task will pay for <br />staff hours, MRW diversion costs, facility upkeep, staff trainings, and organizational dues (as needed with prior <br />approval). <br />Task Goal Statement: <br />To remove moderate risk waste from the solid waste stream. We intend to accomplish our goal by educating the public <br />on proper disposal methods, alternate material use and then finally by providing them with a location to properly <br />dispose of their moderate risk waste. In addition we will provide technical assistance to the community and small <br />quantity generators promoting buying less toxic chemicals and safer alternatives. <br />Task Expected Outcome: <br />36 tons of moderate risk waste will be diverted.
