<br />05/02/2017 MINUTES 8 <br /> <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS - NONE <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />At 10:56 a.m. Chairman Jewell announced the Board would recess into an <br />Executive Session for ten minutes with CDS Director, Dan Carlson to <br />evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to <br />review the performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW <br />42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, and <br />other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the agency <br />shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body <br />elects to take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual <br />employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an <br />employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the public. <br />Potential Action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 11:06 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell stated that he felt the current Comp Plan Consultant is <br />not well suited for the County Comp Plan project. He suggested the Board <br />invoke the 30 day clause with CREA and terminate the Contract. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to direct Staff to invoke the 30 day clause <br />in the Contract with CREA who was hired to handle the County Comp Plan <br />Project and directed Staff to set up an interview with the number 2 <br />Consultant. Commissioner O’Brien seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien moved to adjourn the meeting at 11:11 a.m. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz seconded.
