Cook <br />RECON RVIEN'DATION: <br />Direct that staff prepare enabling legislation supporting property transfer (tax parcel <br />number 693835) to the City of Cle Elum, WA. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• Public Works has received legal opinion supporting the use of Revised Code of <br />Washington (RCW) 39.33.060 conveying property to the City of Cle Elum <br />• The action is supported in Kittitas County Code at 2.81.090(2) <br />• The City proposes using the property establishing a dog park <br />BACKQK0UND: <br />At a previous briefing, staff committed to having the Board's attarney review RCW <br />39.33-060 as the ownership transfer vehicle for Public Works (PW) parcel #693835. The <br />property is valued at $100 (County Assessed value) and PW pays $4.91 per year in taxes. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />PW does not have currently, nor do we foresee any use of the parcel.. PW is a strong <br />advocate for recreation and fuily supports the City's intended dog park. ' PW suggests <br />leaving the City make a formal request for the parcel.
