Cook <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Direct that staff prepare enabling legislation supporting property transfer (tax parcel <br />number 693835) to the City of Cie Elum, WA. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• Public Works (PW) owns tax parcel no. 693835 in Cle Elum, WA <br />• PW has no need for the parcel <br />• The City of Cie Elum is interested in acquiring the parcel supporting a future dog <br />park <br />• 2019 market value for the parcel is $100. <br />• RCW allows transfer for recreational purposes <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Earlier in March, Public Works (PW) noticed the Board of County Commissioners <br />(BOCC) of the City of Cie Elum's interest in PW tax parcel no. 693835. The parcel <br />provides no benefit to Public Works and lists as having a land value of $100 in 2019 <br />market value (EXHIBIT 1). PW pays $4.91 annually in property taxes. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Revised Code of Washington provides for transfer of property for use for park and <br />recreational purposes at RCW 39.33.060.
