KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: March 25, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve the Resolution Stating the Board's Position of <br />"No Net Loss" for Access on Public Roads <br />BACKGROUND: Since fall of 2018, the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners has been working with the Public Lands <br />Advisory Committee developing a definition and Board <br />statement regarding no net loss for access on public roads. <br />Recently, the Committee presented a final definition to the <br />Board and final modifications have been made ready for <br />formal Board acceptance. <br />The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and <br />the Washington State Department of Natural Resources <br />have both been integral in developing the proposed final <br />definition for: "No Net Loss". <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution Stating the Board's position of "no <br />net loss" for access on public roads. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
