2/19/2019 MINUTES 2 <br />Chairman Wright presented a letter for consideration for Chair <br />signature addressed to CWU President James L. Gaudino, regarding the <br />Proposal to Lease Property at Bowers Field – CWU Aviation Technology <br />Program. Commissioner Osiadacz requested time to review the letter <br />and to bring Public Works Director Mark Cook in on the conversation <br />and get review from the County Prosecutor’s Office. Staff was <br />directed to set a Special Meeting. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined for the week of February 18, 2019 they would <br />share the Shady Brook Dismissal Press Release as well as a thank you <br />to Congresswoman Kim Schrier, Congressman Dan Newhouse, Senator <br />Maria Cantwell and Senator Patty Murray for their support of federal <br />funding for the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan (YBIP). <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis. This was determined at a Special <br />Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners held on June 18, <br />2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their <br />respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On <br />January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to <br />alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department <br />Head’s on an annual basis.
