1/28/2019 MINUTES 2 <br />and deliver them personally. <br /> <br />REPRESENTATIVE CHAMBER PRESENTATION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Chairman Wright stated that he would represent the Board at the <br />invite from the Chamber for the retreat at the Driver House (Board <br />Room) on 2/26/19 for a 15 minute presentation beginning at 1:45 p.m. <br />to discuss any programs or projects that the County would like the <br />Chamber’s support on. <br /> <br />LETTER BOCC-SIGNATURE-HOBBS/KING/FEY/BARKIS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to authorize Board signature on letters <br />to Senator Hobbs, Representative Fey, Senator King and <br />Representative Barkis regarding a request for funding of I-90 Easton <br />to Cle Elum Project (MP70-85), as presented. Chairman Wright <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined for the week of January 28, 2019 they would <br />share a video-teaser re: Firewise that the Fire Adapted Communities, <br />along with other sponsors and the County helped share the cost to <br />develop. They also determined that they share a copy of the letter <br />the Board signed addressed to Senator Steve Hobbs, Representative <br />Jake Fey, Senator Curtis King and Representative Barkis Re: Request <br />for Funding of I-90 Easton to Cle Elum Project (MP70-85). <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis. This was determined at a Special <br />Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners held on June 18, <br />2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their <br />respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On <br />January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to <br />alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department <br />Head’s on an annual basis. They determined at the end of 2013 they <br />would review the various committees they participate in and provide <br />beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS- <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II questioned which <br />Commissioner would like to be the lead on the Senior Center <br />Agreement with the City of Ellensburg. She stated that they received <br />an e-mail from Chris Horner, Deputy Prosecutor questioning who he <br />should work with as former County Commissioner Obie O’Brien had <br />previously offered to take it on but has since retired and they need <br />to continue on with updating the Agreement.
