1/22/2019 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to appoint Andrea Blume to the Kittitas <br />County Fair Board for a 3 year term effective immediately and <br />expiring on 12/31/2021. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br /> <br />REQUEST TRAVEL TO MONTANA COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve Commissioner Osiadacz’s <br />request to travel with The Nature Conservancy to Montana from <br />3/5/2019 – 3/8/2019 to meet with and learn how they are working with <br />a community forest, noting that the cost would be approximately <br />$728.00 for travel, hotel and meals. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />RATIFY LETTER TO GOV. INSLEE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to ratify Chairman Wright’s signature <br />on a letter to Governor Inslee regarding the 4 County appointment of <br />the 13th District Representative position vacated by Matt Manweller. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2019-007 JOINT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to ratify Chair Signature on Resolution <br />No. 2019-007 (Grant Co. Resolution #19-004-CC), a Joint Resolution <br />of the Grant, Kittitas, Lincoln and Yakima Counties appointing Alex <br />Ybarra to represent Legislative District No. 13 in the Washington <br />State House of Representatives. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined for the week of January 21, 2019 they would <br />share the Ruckelshaus Center Survey regarding GMA and also share the <br />recent recognition for the retirement of Officer Jerry Shuart <br />serving Kittitas County from 4/1/1980 – 1/31/2019. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis. This was determined at a Special <br />Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners held on June 18, <br />2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their <br />respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On <br />January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to <br />alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department <br />Head’s on an annual basis. They determined at the end of 2013 they <br />would review the various committees they participate in and provide <br />beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well.
