01/14/2019 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:40 A.M. JANUARY 14, 2019 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith & Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Tristen Lamb, <br />Public Health Administrator; Lisa Young, HR Director/Interim Event <br />Center Director. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD PUBLIC HEALTH <br /> <br />Tristen Lamb, Public Health Administrator requested the Boards <br />approval to increase the Health Promotion (HP) position from 0.8 FTE <br />to 1.0 FTE, after recent vacancy of another part time HP position. <br />She explained the funding and the increase of approximately $80.00 a <br />week more would come from DBHR funding. <br /> <br />The Board approved the request as presented. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS – <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION HR <br /> <br />At 9:48 a.m. Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess into <br />an Executive Session with Lisa Young, HR Director/Interim Event <br />Center Director for 5 minutes to evaluate the qualifications of an <br />applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a <br />public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by <br />a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of <br />employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in <br />a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to <br />take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual <br />employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an <br />employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the <br />public. No action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 9:53 a.m. the Board recessed out of Executive Session.
