01/14/2019 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM REGULAR MEETING MONDAY 9:40 A.M. JANUARY 14, 2019 Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith & Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Tristen Lamb, Public Health Administrator; Lisa Young, HR Director/Interim Event Center Director. REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD PUBLIC HEALTH Tristen Lamb, Public Health Administrator requested the Boards approval to increase the Health Promotion (HP) position from 0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE, after recent vacancy of another part time HP position. She explained the funding and the increase of approximately $80.00 a week more would come from DBHR funding. The Board approved the request as presented. OTHER BUSINESS – EXECUTIVE SESSION HR At 9:48 a.m. Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess into an Executive Session with Lisa Young, HR Director/Interim Event Center Director for 5 minutes to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the public. No action anticipated. At 9:53 a.m. the Board recessed out of Executive Session. No action was taken. Meeting adjourned at 9:53 a.m. KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
