KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: December 10, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Board Direction to prepare enabling documents to set a <br />Public Hearing to Receive Testimony Regarding the <br />Proposed Vacation of Micheletto Road on the December <br />18, 2018 Agenda Session <br />BACKGROUND: Micheletto Road is a gravel road accessed off of Swauk <br />Prairie Road. The road is fourteen feet wide and <br />approximately 0.34 miles long. The County has used the <br />end of the road as a turnaround for numerous years. <br />Recently, the road was gated prohibiting the turnaround of <br />Public Works maintenance vehicles. It is our <br />understanding that current owners no longer desire Public <br />Works maintenance support. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Direct staff to prepare enabling documents to set a public <br />hearing for 2 PM local time on January 15, 2018 receiving <br />public testimony on Public Works proposal vacating <br />Micheletto Road at the December 18, 2018 Agenda Session <br />ATTACHMENTS: Exhibit 1: Map <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
